The Platinum Egg is created in Sterling Silver, Platinum and guilloché Royal Purple enamel. To the front is the Royal Lion and Unicorn with 18 kt gold.

To the reverse of the top of the Egg is Britannia seated, ruling the waves. The Egg is surmounted with the Imperial Crown set with a cabochon ruby.

On opening the Egg, the surprise is the Queen’s Coronation Coach in Sterling Silver, Platinum, 18 kt Gold and Enamel. Set on the carriage doors are sparkling brilliant diamonds.

Each side of the carriage are two Malachite cupolas. Lying next to one of these cupolas is the favourite Corgi Dog patiently wishing to take a trip in the Coronation Coach.

To the base of the Egg, are 70 ornamentally turned inter twinning rings, turned on THEO FABERGÉ’s ornamental lathe from 1860, representing the 70 years of H.M. reign.

Within the ornamental rings to the front of the Egg, is the Queen’s special 70th Anniversary Sterling Silver Hallmark. This Hallmark is only allowed to be used in 2022.
