The Sunburst Egg, created by Theo Fabergé, in Mopane wood, represents the sun bursting into sixty shimmering sun rays.

The Egg, which delicately rests upon a fluted gilt column, is enriched with ornamentally turned patterned discs portraying glistening sun rays and sunbursts. The Egg is surmounted with a small gilt finial.

The hidden surprise within the column, a pen decorated with a cupola and cabochon amethyst.
