The Egg is created in red crystal and is hand painted with cherry blossoms in pure gold, then kiln fired. The finial represents the Imperial Crown set with a cabochon ruby.

The surprise, hidden within the base is a sterling silver, 18 karat gold and enamelled cherry blossom bouquet.
