Theo Fabergé’s love of his English garden has inspired this Egg which is about his interest in butterflies.

The butterfly has already been part of several of his Creations.

The Ciselée pattern in pure gold on the black crystal Egg is augmented by hand applied butterflies in pure gold and silver.

The finial to the Egg is the Romanov Crown offset with a cabochon ruby.

Open the Egg to reveal the Red Admiral butterfly in sterling silver and gold with enamel and diamonds.  The butterfly is feeding on the red enamel roses set with diamond which are on the ebony hand turned vase.
